15 vols. uniformly bound in black cloth with red paper spine labels. Some years incomplete; missing 1947. This set is of particular historic interest in covering the war years with on-the-spot photojournalism of Dieppe, the Quebec Conference, and other turning-points of World War II. The issue of July, 1941, for instance, is entirely devoted to the Canadian army in England with an essay by then Major C. P. Stacey. Occasional articles on Canadian art, illustrated in colour, including "The Story of Canadian Art" by Donald W. Buchanan, 1938, and another by the same author on Carl Schaefer (1948). Spine labels missing on two volumes and in various states of wear on the rest, though only slightly chipped or curled on most.
