Alex Katz Untitled “cow” Original Woodcut, Signed and Numbered.

Alex Katz made his first lino and woodcuts in the late 1950s, beginning a life-long interest in printmaking. In this edition of an aquatint etching on paper, Untitled, Katz demonstrates his passion for prints and drawings, using a monochromatic colour scheme and a simplified line to emphasize form and colour. This lovely print was published by the Whitechapel Gallery in London in 2005 and was beautifully printed by Doris Simmelink and Chris Sukimoto. This limited edition print is framed, signed, and number (17/100) by the artist. The print is 10″ x 10″ with margains. 7″ x 7″ without margins. Professionally framed.
