Hardcover, bound in vellum. Facsimile of the first ed. (1628) of Harvey’s ground-breaking discovery in the original Latin (De Motu Cordis), with English translation and prefatory memoir by G. Moreton. x, 74; 91. Two engraved plates; title-page engraving; frontispiece portrait. Ink name on front free endpaper; ex library, with small library stamps; wear to spine head & bottom corners, and hinges started, with partiallty detached prelims; boards slightly bowed (not unusual for vellum); but, apart from a couple of foxed pages, interior is clean & bright, and, despite defects to the vellum, this copy has a really quite presentable appearance. #92/100.
