Map of France divided into 82 departments (revised & corrected) from “Atlas de Geographie Ancienne, du Moyen Age, et Moderne” (Paris, 1850). The map measures approx. 13″ x 18″ inches, including margins, and has a centrefold. Details are hand-coloured. Two insets depict France divided into 32 provinces, and the island of Corsica. Originally made by Delamarche in 1849, it was part of the compilation for the Atlas of 1850. A couple of tiny closed edge-tears to lower margin, not affecting map. Delamarche was a famous 19th century French cartographer and naval engineer. Text in French.
