Copper engraving of cameo image, approx. 3″ x 2 1/2″ (including title), on sheet, approx. 10 1/2″ x 7 3/4″, from Worlidge’s series of engravings of antique gems. Mint condition with usual light soiling to sheet edges. Worlidge was an 18th century portraitist, noted for his Rembrandtesque heads and portraits of mythological figures, Roman emperors and other luminaries from Classical times.
