Selection of photographs and layout by Sommer, including evocative, poetic texts. Rear panel photo is by Ansel Adams, one of the founders of Aperture. Issues of the magazine from its first years (1952-early 60s) are scarce at the best of times, but extremely rare in this pristine condition– and this one in particular!
