Illustrated with 11 original prints by Matisse (1 etching with aquatint, 4 lithographs, 3 small linocuts, and colour litho wrappers). Printed on velin d’arches a la forme by Mourot; litho stone plates destroyed after printing. Board covers also designed by Matisse. Some slight splitting to chemise spine edges (from brittleness of paper), but hinges absolutely intact and firm, and interior fresh and virtually crisp. Slipcase rubbed at extremities and slightly sprung. #317/330. Text in French.
