Model design & text by Paul Groenendijk and Piet Vollaard. Architectural Models series, No. 5. Booklet Near Fine. Assembly sheets Very Good, with bookplate on cover sheet verso; tape stains and slight abrasions to sheet corners, and some creasing to upper left corners around staple. Elements of the model remain unaffected by the defects, but full-sheet documentary photographs on cover sheet verso is partially obscured by bookplate, and another documentary photo on verso of third sheet is marginally affected by tape-stains. El Lissitzky, having designed the first flag for the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, which flew in Red Square in 1918, developed this futuristic orator’s stand, later called, “Lenin Tribune”, together with his students in 1919, and continued work on it thereafter.
