English Women’s Clothing in the Nineteenth Century

Hardcover in custom-made decorative silk dj.; top edge gilt. 460 pp. Illustrated with 10 colourplates, numerous b/w plates from engravings & photos, and countless textual illustrations and line drawings. Ink name on front free endpaper; boards slightly bumped, and glue residue to pastedowns. (Evidently the fabric dj was at one time glued to pastedown, but the glue dried.) The fabric dj is Near Fine. A nice tight, bright copy. The colourplates are photos of dresses in the author’s collection.
