Sea-green illustrative cloth with sailing ship cover vignette in white, green and black; title-lettering gilt; “sailor” spine illustration, gilt, with spine title in gilt and white on gold; all edges gilt; bevelled boards. Illustrated with 8 plates from engravings. Includes a couple of stories by Harold Bindloss, but most appear to be written by the commander himself. An exceedingly fresh copy, with tiny chip to gilt on one title letter only.
