n.d. (Early 20th century?) 18 pp. + 102 plates, unbound as issued, in portfolio of 3/4 cloth and boards with printed cover label and cloth tie. Illustrated with countless b/w photographs, many full-page, plus additional illustrations in text. Head and tail of portfolio spine split at edges (about 1″), and board extremities rubbed, but interior fine with PLATES BRIGHT & CLEAN. Pagination prints p. 6 upside downas p. 9, and plate numbering is highly erratic, jumping from 1-10 to 1-225, skipping many numbers along the way. The cover title, however, CALLS FOR 100 PLATES AND WE ACTUALLY HAVE A 102! A majestic tour of Napoleon’s private apartments at Fontainebelau. Text in French.
