Soiled covers inscribed by contemporary hand; text block partially detached from covers but holding very firmly by one of the original sewings; a couple of ink names on front free endpaper; numbers on front pastedown, and sketch on rear; some damp stains; soiling to margins; but for all that, still a pretty tight copy, and a quite presentable example of this historic stand-by of 18th century pharmacology. At least this copy appears to have had a lot of the use it was intended for. Laid in is what looks like a medical bill in contemporary hand and on contemporary paper. Text in Italian.
