Each plate has tissue guard with printed text describing art & artist in Japanese & English. Photographed and colour-printed by The Shimbu Shoin, Tokyo and collotyped by The Kwansai Photograph Company, Kobe. Near fine with sparkling wraps and only very faint foxing to interior; portfolio soiled, needing repair. First publication of many hitherto inaccessible Japanese art treasures in Imperial palaces.
