Hardcover. Brown cloth, blind-ruled, with title lettering gilt and seal of the Association for Promotion of the Fine Arts in Scotland, also in gilt. Six engravings, illustrating Sir Walter Scott’s popular novel, by Geroge Reid, James Archer, R. W. Macbeth, J. Watson Nicol and W. B. Hole. Small stain to top board; some moisture stains and wrinkling to rear board, and faint moisture stains and light soiling to some plates, not affecting images. The volume was published for members of the Association.
