Foreword by Georges Boudaille. 6-page sewn text plus spiral-bound sketchbook (oblong, 16 x 11″) in pictorial board portfolio in original printed mylar wrapper. Sketchbook is exact facsimile of the one Picasso worked on from November 1, 1955 to January 14, 1956. Many of the sketches are in colour. Portfolio slightly rubbed at foot of spine, and a few minor spots on front pastedown (from metal spiral); mylar chipped on rear panel, with a couple of pieces of tape. 1st US edition, limited to 1000 copies.
