Engraved by Thomas Kitchin from survey maps corrected from astronomical observations. Map with hand-coloured outline, decorative cartouche, county coat of arms and coloured borders, 8 1/2″ x 6 1/2″, plus approx. 1/2″ margins. Tack marks on upper corners of margins; else a nice, clean copy. Kitchin was one of the most famous map-engravers of his day, regularly publishing maps in “The London Magazine”, as well as contirubting maps to books of the period.
