Illustrated with 109 full-page plates plus frontispiece, almost all with facing page commentary and directions. For “wood, iron and stone stairs” and “For the use of architects, stair-builders, carpenters, iron-workers, pattern-makers, and stone masons.” Extremities rubbed with light rubbing & soiling to cloth; hinges started under endpapers and binding cracked, but firm; some faint soiling and foxing to prelims and rear matter; but all plates clean & bright. Rare!
