Custom-bound in three quarter tan morocco and marbled boards; raised bands ruled in gilt; spine deorations gilt; spine lettering gilt on burgundy and black leather spine labels; marbled endpapers; top edge gilt. Introduction by William Archer and C. H. Herford. The set comprises the works of Ibsen complete in 13 volumes, including “From Ibsen’s Workshop: Notes, Scenarios, and Drafts of Modern Plays” (V.12, published 1911), and a one-volume life of Ibsen by Edmond Gosse, listed as V.13. Bookplate on front pastedowns; spines slightly darkened, with occasional rubbing, and some wear to some heads & tails; extremities slightly rubbed, with some wear to corners and scuffing to corner leather; interiors are virtually crisp and show no appaent signs of usage at all. Apart from the corner-wear this could easily pass for a Near Fine set.
