Illustrated with steel engravings of portraits and battle scenes (up to 9 plates per volume); engraved title-pages; numerous hand-coloured maps and plans with hand-coloured cartouches. Williams’s “England’s Battles by Sea and Land” is completed by Henry Tyrrell’s “The History of the War with Russia. Giving Full Details of the Operations of the Allied Armies.” Extremities slightly rubbed and some spine tips nicked, with small bump to one board and light rubbing to another; marginal tear to one plate and faint foxing to the backs of others, not affecting images; interior otherwise virtually fresh with some rear pages still unopened. The Life & Times of Wellington, &c., is complete in 6 vols; The History of the War with Russia is missing one volume.
