Lavishly illustrated with 28 colourplates tipped in, plus numerous additional b/w illustrations, also tipped in, including numerous photographs of Chevreul. Front hinge started, but firm; edges tanned, with some small stains to top edge,. not penetrating margins; minor shelf-soiling; Dj has chip to rear panel, wear to spine head, and tape stains on verso; interior otherwise clean & bright with glorious colourplates. Scarce in any condition!
