Impressively bound with tasteful simplicity in blue paper boards, ruled in gilt, with spine paper labels; cover title and small sun, gilt; and small heraldic cover vignette in gilt and white; top edge gilt. Djs are plain blue paper with spine labels. Each volume has a substantial introduction by various writers, including Richard Le Gallienne, Arthur Symons, Robert Ross, Padraic Colum, and W. B. Yeats, among others. #466/575. Volumes are actually Fine, except for chipped spine head on v.1, and nicked spine head on v.7; dj’s are Near Fine overall with the usual nicks, short tears and minor chips; spine labels slightly rubbed and browned. The exceptions are chip to dj spine head on v.1 and partially detached dj spine on v.12. Altogether a magnificent set!
