Extremities slightly rubbed, with minor spotting to front cover cloth and very small patch of wrinkling to back cover; endpapers browned, with clipped poem taped to front free endpaper; some foxing to prelims & rear matter; interior otherwise bright, and generally a nice, tight copy with especially bright gilt cover vignette. The cover vignette is of a reclining nude, whose photo appears in the book, and seems to be indicative of Burnett’s penchant for photographing “island beauties” who wore a lot less than women of his own culture did.
