An original Piranesi antique print! Drawn in the Neoclassical style this elaborate curiale chair (front view) in marble was printed on lovely handmade paper, in Paris, circa 1800’s. This etching is part of Piranesi collection, serires, Vasi, candelabri, CIPPI II. Piranesi was “The Rembrandt of Ruins.” As they say in Europe, a writer has to have Shakespeare works on his shelf and an architect should have a Piranesi etching on his wall. Plate size, 10″ x 15″.
