The pages of translation are stapled typescript in galley format, with author’s note to Cleary suggesting a meeting in Berlin. The translation differs in marked respects from what finally emerged as the English edition, “Rhyme & reason: A Typographical Novel”, translated by the author together with Paul Stiff, and published by Bethold, 1987. Novel text in German; laid in translation in English.
