xiii + 390 pp. + ads. Floral patterned paper boards with woodcut cover vignette in colour and title lettering gilt; spine lettering gilt; floral patterned fore-edge & endpapers. With 45 b/w and colour illustrations, including a facsimile colour woodcut, folding (pl. 24); each colourplate protected with transparent Japanese rice paper tissue guard. Paper boards slightly nicked with minor splits to paper on edges (not uncommon), and negligible stain to front cover upper border; spine rubbed and darkened, affecting spine lettering; but interior very bright with all plates present, clean & bright, especially the colourplates.
