A beautiful hand coloured large copper plate engraving of the botanc specimen titled, ‘Astragalus picatus: .’ Printed in 1803 for the very first grand folio atalas titled, Voyages du Professeur Pallas, dans Plusieurs Provinces de L’Empire de Russie, et Dans L’Asie Septentrionale: Traduits de l’Allemand par le Cit. Gauthier de la Peyronie’ by Simon Pallas. In the top left hand cover it reads the title of the book, ‘Voyages de Pallas’ and in the top left it reads, ‘Tome II Pl. g. Page 424’. This lovely print is approx 17″ x 13″. This wonderful antique print captures the viture of simplicity in everyday life.
